Performed 3rd-Level network troubleshooting on LAN/WAN Network Operations Team supporting global network of more than 500 routers, switches, firewalls, VPN concentrators, and Wireless Access Points. Network Support: Troubleshot EIGRP, BGP, ATM, MPLS, VPN, VOIP, DSL, VSAT networks. Project Lead: Rolled out VPN managed services to 49 KFC stores in France with International team, coordinating with 3rd party service provider. Security Enhancements: Provided assistance to Taco Bell software developers by implementing and cross-training in usage of SSH as secure replacement for UNIX r-tools. Created technical writeup with step-by-step installation and usage instructions. Process Improvement: Saved time reviewing debug capture files by extracting important details from 35,000 line text file. Designed, wrote, and employed Perl and AWK scripts to filter, reformat, standardize, and analyze text output from Cisco devices. Imported parsed file into Access Database for analysis. Wrote Visual Basic scripts to automate time reporting and charts creation in MS Excel. Documentation: Created Visio diagrams, documentation, and inventory database of LAN/WAN equipment.
