Daily Duties at San Bernadino County Mental Health:

I worked as an intern/staff person. On Ward B, I stepped in as the director when the Director, Dr. Caroll Lewis-Wintrode was absent. I met with 4-5 psychiatric teams and gave them results of psychological testing. I participated in group discussions of case dynamics. I was trained on the murder ward of Patton State Hospital, and also, went to training seminars there. I did psychological testing batteries on the juveniles in the facility mentioned above. Some of the patients were from L.A. gangs. I also worked at several out-patient clinics. At one, I worked with very mentally ill children and teens. These youth were coming in-and-out of Camarillo State Hospital. I did psychotherapy and psychological testing and group psychotherapy. I worked at a clinic for Hispanic patients as well.
