Daily Duties at Tulsa Sunshine Center:
Provided speech-language services to pediatric patients in the clinic, home and various natural environments; consulted with families and professionals in areas of specialization (oral/motor, swallowing disorders, and autism spectrum disorders); and served as a liaison between school personnel, families, and physicians. Established key referral sources within the healthcare community. Spoke publicly before large and small groups of individuals in a positive, inclusive, and motivational manner. Served as a resource to the Office Manager and Principals regarding marketing community outreach/public relations activities and events; "markets" new and/or expanded ideas for services/programs. Participated in the development and implementation of short and long range strategies and approaches to communications/public relations issues; planned strategies to disseminate information to the public in an effective and positive manner. Identified and developed ongoing relationships with key referral sources.
