Daily Duties at Time Warner Cable:

As a Sr. Project Manager, I was hired to provide overall project team leadership and guidance. In this role, I was accountable for managing all required project documentation, gathering project requirements to ensure deliverables did not exceed the approved scope of the project, challenging business decisions to ensure projects were in alignment with customer satisfactions, and working cross functionally with multiple business units including Field Services, IT, Marketing/Product Development, Programming, Direct Sales, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Customer Care and Finance to implement projects and initiatives. New responsibilities included managing project activities and communications to the project team and stakeholders, acting as a key liaison between the business and IT to ensure alignment of business objectives, providing project reporting and status to Senior Management, stakeholders and Executive level leadership, assisting teams in defining project tasks, schedules, assumptions, deliverables, risks, gaps and dependencies, and aggregating project metric results to identify if objectives have been met. My increased responsibilities also included: working extended hours and some weekends as required, presenting project status to Executive Management, travel and the ability to expense travel costs prior to reimbursement.

What they like about Time Warner Cable:

Working for a company with an emphasis on social values and helping society is a clear and important priority for you - a critical factor in who you choose to work for. In contrast to other factors, you place an organization's reputation for fairness and concern for the community above most other aspects of the company. As you search for a new job opportunity, it is usually possible to find out if the company is involved in the community and/or if it is addressing problems and issues in society. Pay special attention to non-profit organizations and those specifically involved in social action. Moreover, speaking with current and former employees should enlighten you to perceptions of the fairness of the company's leaders and the treatment of employees.
