Daily Duties at I & A Lab:
• Making plates using an S 8000 automatic sterilizer and APS 300 plate pourer • Pre-incubate plates for 24 hours so there is no contamination before the samples are dispensed onto the plates • Dispense the samples with a WASP spiral plater; and after the required incubation time a Protocol counter is used. The Protocol produces a digital image of the plate and using integrated software counts the colonies from the image then automatically produces results on the screen after a few second. • Sort out samples from different diaries • Make agar
