Daily Duties at Aquila Inc:
Drove performance of a team of business analyst professionals to provide timely and cost-effective solutions to support business requirements and add exceptional value to the bottom line. Served as Functional Lead for all PeopleSoft Financials projects including, but not limited to, reimplementation of PeopleSoft Financials version 8.8, multiple software upgrades and implementation of new functionality. Major Contributions: • Responsible for oversight of all functional administration of PeopleSoft Financials. This included security administration, vendor approval, chartfield, edit and tree maintenance, end user support, query review and design. • Responsible for hiring and firing of employees, budget preparation and monthly spending analysis, employee performance reviews, goal setting and system policy decisions as well as suggesting business process improvements utilizing new functionality. • Functionally managed the reimplementation of PeopleSoft Financials modules from version 8.0 to version 8.8 Work completed on time and below budget. Included leading design sessions, review of delivered functionality to meet business requirements, when necessary, defining modifications to the system, defining all required conversion tasks, redesigning and implementing security for 2000+ users, coordinating multiple test cycles, go live preparation tasks as well as post go live end user support. • Achieved consistent success in meeting and exceeding financial P&L objectives. • Participated as PeopleSoft Financials Lead in shutdown of Aquila Inc. transitioning systems, books and records to multiple buyers including the complex task of separating financial records while abiding by confidentiality requirements.
