Daily Duties at New Mexico Resources :
I was hired to manage the development. Negotiate contracts, review plans and complete the development. This was a unique project. The project had considerable political support and we commenced the work with incomplete plans. I put together a team consisting of A Dirt contractor,Surveyor,Underground contractor, and concrete contractor and we went to work. We never had a complete set of plans to work from. Under my direction we would complete task and I would give the information to the engineer and they would would generate a change to the plans based on what we had done. When the Subdivision was complete there were 28 pages of changes to the original 30 sheets of plans. The City Engineer and I walked the entire development upon completion and he commented that he never would have believed that the finished product would have been so well done. My motto is if its worth doing its worth doing right.
