Consultant to Wedgwood Circle Institute (Dec 2011-July 2012) Develop membership and strategic partnerships. Assist in deal structuring and syndication. Prepare complete and timely legal and tax filings. Promote Wedgwood artists and the Wedgwood thesis. Executive Director (June 2010-Dec 2011) Developed and nurtured a community of successful entrepreneurs, investors and creatives. Achieved membership increase of 60% in one year. Actively managed small staff and financial resources. Created two major events per year that resulted in 100 high quality prospective members and networking relationships. Directly assisted artist presenters with crafting and preparing for deal pitches resulting in high marks from investor feedback. Collaborated with Pepperdine University and industry experts to write and edit investment strategy reports for members covering the five most active sectors - film, television, music, graphic novels, interactive media - producing wiser, more effective investors. Conducted regular conference calls for members, featuring sector experts. Calls boosted understanding of investment strategies and encouraged business model innovation in key sectors. Initiated new branding effort to engage emerging leaders. Documented history of funds influenced. Created member and personnel records. Prepared Form 990. Developed quarterly management report to the President and Board of Directors addressing cash flow, membership growth, results from events and key initiatives.
