Daily Duties at Kelly Services:

Performed functions of an medical support assistant, record keeping, patient scheduling and miscellaneous administrative duties in support of managed care. Work closely with all staff members performing the administrative details that are essential to the orderly and efficient accomplishment of the unit’s goals. Other assignments at this level include, but are not limited to: participating in team huddles and team meetings to manage and plan patient care; setting priorities and deadlines, adjusting the flow and sequencing of the work to meet team and patient needs; may work with the team to reinforce the plan of care and self-help solutions and entering appropriate information into the electronic record; monitoring pre-appointment requirements to assure readiness for patient visit/procedure. Received patients and visitors in accordance with DOPC patient friendly commitment policy. Transcribed and distributed manual and electronic messages to appropriate staff. Used sound judgment when administratively in processing medical emergencies. Observed patients for obvious signs of discomfort notifying professional staff according to clinic policy when necessary. Maintained knowledge of medical treatment facility, organization, services, terminology and documentation trails to provide appropriate staff and patient information/direction. Maintained knowledge of commonly used terminology of the clinic to answer patient questions regarding routine procedures. Maintained a knowledge of TRICARE benefits and services. Compiled data for a variety of reports. Ensured that the End-Of-Day reports were processed before close of business. Interviewed patients to elicit required information such as eligibility for healthcare services, benefits, medical condition and related information. Scheduled, canceled and coordinated appointments for patients in accordance with TRICARE, WAMC and clinic policies. Records physicians’ orders for patient activities, restrictions, diagnostic tests and medications. Checked all military ID cards, front and back for healthcare eligibility before patient check-in. Assembled medical records according to prescribed formats, enter and extracts patient data with facility’s computer system, and reviewed medical health records for completeness and accuracy prior to and following treatment. Assisted patients with completion of all forms and in/out processing of the patients medical records, and preformed other duties as assigned.
