Ensure accuracy, completeness and timely updates of all multi-site operational and financial databases, financial statements preparation, inventory control, AR, AP and payroll preparation, meeting tight management reporting deadlines. • Managed the migration from archaic financial accounting software to SAP, and operational application software from RightClick to AXIS. • Recommended liquidating and discontinuing over 2,000 non-moving styles/designs, resulting in huge idle inventory cost recovery and freeing up of idly locked up capital worth around $2 million. • Orchestrate sale/re-call of high-value, old, unsold Consignment Inventory items worth $3 million lying with customers, generating quick cash inflow and reducing bad debt exposure. • Investigate causes and record discrepancies noticed upon periodic physical inventory counts of over 15,000 high-value diamond and jewelry items and their reconciliation with book inventory numbers. • Ensure clean internal and external audit of accounts, and timely and accurate tax return filings. • Ensure compliance with USA Patriot Act, Dodd-Frank declaration, tax and commercial laws • Coordinate efficient treasury management with a view to maximizing returns on liquid resources • Streamline and implement tighter internal control processes • Negotiate and draft diverse commercial contracts and legal documents
