Daily Duties at Bank Of America :

This was promotion from the previous position I had. Job duties: • implementation of strategic plans • profitability analysis • forecasting and financial reporting for business unit • reviewing financial reports for accuracy • Create weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting • Assist with calculation, accrual analysis and projections • Assist in the annual development and monthly projection of business unit overhead Other duties included: Leads projects and coordinates resources, working on projects with others within the unit and with partner, Review expense reports to ensure within compliance, Also responsible for staying updated on the latest trends and techniques in the field of financial analysis. Situation: I was asked to assist with developing & updating policies and procedures. It was brought to our attention that the policies and procedures was out dated and also system enhancements which changes the P&P. Action: Sat with many associates to get a thoughour analysis of there step by step duties. I went back and generated new policies & procedures that would better streamline the different process. I also went a step further to create different job aids new hires can use as quick reference guide. Rusult: as a result I was able to better streamline certain processes. I was also able to design new job aids. Situation: it was brought to our attention that upper management was a seeing a different flucation of quarterly reports. They wanted an understating & a reason why our mangers report were not looking a little off. Action: pulled several diff. reports to see how financial staff was reporting certain items. Also sat with diff. finanace manger to get an better understanding they diff. types entries that where made and why. Result: as a result I was able to pin point why our quarterly reports weren’t off. Certain entries with these reports were not being utilizes and other entries were not being reported correctly. Upper manager was able to re-train associates and update the P&P to better understand in which the dept. was able to report accurately
