Daily Duties at Bytts Incorporated:
Install Oracle 11g application software on Unix and Windows Systems. Create database on UNIX and Windows Servers using DBCA and shell scripts. Expertise in the creation of tables, table spaces, indexes and other database objects. RMAN backup, restoration and Recovery. User managed backups and recovery. Knowledge of database Cloning. Knowledge of Dataguard. Shell Scripting. Work with senior DBAs in tuning databases to maximize result return time. Multiplexing using RMAN. Experience in utilizing Oracle Enterprise Manager to monitor and manage databases. Adherence to policies, procedures and controls especially in regard to outage and change management, licensing, and information protection. Perform various activities, such as database recovery, performance monitoring and tuning. Present and explain technical information to diverse audiences such as management, users, vendors and technical staff in a way that establishes rapport, persuades other and gains understanding.
