Daily Duties at 84th Chemical Bn:
Duties: Serves as Senior Training Instructor for the 84th Chemical Battalion for over 5years. Senior Instructor for New Equipment Training Programs.Trains on the new M26 Joint Service Transportable Decontamination System (JSTDS) soon to be filled to the CBRN school. Writes instructional manual for CBRN Decontamination equipment such as the karcher, the 125 GPM pump, the M17 Lightweight Decontamination System (LDS) and instructs large and small group . As a Senior Instructor Trains military instructors and trainees the proper application of M295 Individual Equiment Decontamination Kits and M291 Skin decontamination kits and the proper wear of the Joint Service Lightweight integrated Suits Technology. reviews and corrects a variety of instructional packages for training Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) tasks to military and civilian responders. Reviews and implements the development of detailed lesson plans and training aids on operation, maintenance and troubleshooting procedures through review of publications, reports, blueprints and related course materials. Provides resident and on-site technical instruction for a target audience and maintenance of assigned systems and associated items. Serve as Senior specialist assigned subject area. Trains military trainers/civilian users of hazardous materials incorporating safety rules and regulations of chemicals and fuels when operating the different types of equipments. Meets all Brigade and Chemical Training Department policies and procedures in reference to conduct of instruction and qualification of instructors according to Instructor's Guides.
