Daily Duties at University Wisconsin Milwaukee:

Directly responsible for the management, implementation, and maintenance to the campus wide Zimbra based email and calendar system that the campus community of 50,000 relies on. My role is a mix of hands on administration and implementation and managing a team of co-workers on various projects related to the campus collaboration environment. I am also in charge of capacity planning, change management & resource allocation and preliminary budgetary duties. Responsible for identifying emerging technologies to streamline processes, enhance core functionality, and make better use of resources and making recommendations to senior management regarding my findings. Responsibilities also included the training of end users, collaboration with co-workers and end users on the development of technical and functional process flows, and develop “best practices” to enhance efficiency for the entire enterprise.

What they like about University Wisconsin Milwaukee:

The social vibrance of a hiring firm is very important to you. Your ability to make and maintain friendships there is a critical part of your decision. You would likely be dissatisfied with a workplace that is quiet, cold, or otherwise not particularly social. When you investigate a new hiring company, ask recruiters, managers, and potential co-workers about the social life and opportunities there. This is especially important when you are relocating; moving dramatically alters your social sphere both inside and outside the workplace.
