Daily Duties at Department Of Children And Families:

 Principal for forty-five multiple disabled students serving students ranging in ages from three though twenty-one. Directed all aspects of school operations, including instructional leadership, purchasing, transportation and management, program planning and implementation, staff selection and evaluation, student placement and discipline, school finance, curriculum and staff development as well as plant supervision.  Administer our annual operating budget and supervised 50 professional and classified staff members.  Worked closely with PTA to organize and implement successful fund-raisers, community gatherings and student centered activities.  Bridged the gap between community and school relating to operations and communications about current issues occurring in the school or community.  Contacted, placed and supervised students into community businesses through Structured Learning Experiences or Service-Learning opportunities.  Implemented current technology topics and equipment for student success.  Administered, scheduled, wrote, implemented and managed all IEP meetings with ascending school districts, parents and staff or group homes.  Achieved measurable result producing standardized test score with our Emotionally Disturbed population. Additionally achieved result producing success with Alternative Placement Assessment with our multiple handicap population.  Consistently meet/exceed Annual Yearly Progress goals set forth by the No Child Left Behind Act.  Implemented the school newspaper, student centered flag salute and student handbook.
