Daily Duties at Bny Mellon:

Ensure Business Unit operates effectively and within company guidelines and standards Ensuring accuracy and timely distribution of work product on a daily basis; Provide guidance and support to associates on a daily basis; Monitor procedures and controls on team; assist team with problem solving and resolving issues; Work with team manager to ensure that all fund issues are being appropriately addressed Responsible for Unit's compliance with SOP, SAS 70, and ensuring that any Unit-specific procedures conform and are shared with other Units; Develop and participate in department wide initiatives ; Hold regular team meetings to encourage staff feedback on all issues ; Interact regularly with clients, auditors and vendors Ensure team is escalating critical issues to Manager and Team Leader; Supervise the allocation process; Support Departmental or unit initiatives; understand and manage client expectations in conjunction with Client Relations Ensure team provide consistent high-quality services; Responsible for ensuring that team meets client deliverables Ensure effective Staff development; Prepare regular associate performance reviews; Liaise with HR to participate in the interview and selection of candidates for open positions; Ensure appropriate staffing through successful selection and retention of staff; Provide associates on team with objectives; Manage vacation, time off of associates in conjunction with client deliverables; Work to keep voluntary turnover on team and department at a minimum Ensure Internal and External Communications are timely and of High-Quality - monitor quality assurance Ensure all deliverables are properly reviewed; Promote positive Company image in all internal and external communications; Meet with clients on a regular basis as deemed necessary Resolve issues and address high level client requests in conjunction with Manager and Client Relations Enhance Operations and Industry Knowledge; Pro-actively seek out educational and informational sources to remain industry current; Participate in training as required; Perform Staff functions, if required.
