Social Work: Serve as part of a specialized clinical team comprised of clinical social workers and a psychiatrist. Co-facilitate group therapy sessions using a customized CPT approach for PTSD treatment in Veterans. Conduct individual aftercare therapy with clients and treat comorbid conditions including addiction, depression and anxiety disorders using evidence-based therapies such as PE, CBT, CPT, and ACT. Facilitate PTSD-focused group sleep therapy sessions and provide psychoeducational information. Provide crisis intervention as needed to assess and plan for Veterans with suicidality and/or homicidality. Assess program referrals for appropriateness to treatment protocol. Shadowing rotations included primary care, in-patient, substance abuse, dialysis, and hospice units.
