Daily Duties at Oklahoma Department Of Education:

• Managed $3.1M in state-funded incentive monies for Oklahoma which included: College Board Summer Institutes, Advanced Placement (AP)course grants, test fee assistance, and incentive monies back to teachers for qualifying scores • Liaised with state legislators, governor, community members, foundations, and lobbyist to educate and grow educational state funding • Served as state consultant and speaker for workshops, educational meetings, state & district teachers' meetings and other professional meetings on topics related to AP and Gifted & Talented best practices • Managed and implemented AP grants across the state ensuring timely and effective delivery • Increased AP enrollment across state to ensure equity, assess, and excellence for all students • Offered grant technical assistance that informed, motivated, and supported districts/teachers • Reviewed RFPs and assisted districts in writing proposals for grant funding • Served as the state representative during the writing of NMSI grant • Awarded grants for incentives, vertical teams, and equipment for AP • Assisted with the development of guidelines to implement educational programs • Consulted with and advised school administrators on improvement and growth • Disseminated research-based ideas and new methods throughout the state
