Daily Duties at Life Touch:

Used a computer system to scan product in, verified product number to be shipped, checked for imperfections, weighed boxes, sealed and shipped them via multiple shipping sources depending on weight and distance. Most were shipped via UPS, however if the products were close to their due date and were close they might be shipped via Lifetouch’s box truck. This required a CDL class B to drive. I did drive the truck to drop off orders at schools and church’s and to pick up product at one of our warehouses. Large orders were sometimes stacked on pallet jacks and shrink wrapped; trained to use the shrink-wrap machine that would spin the pallets to wrap them. Trained on the electric pallet jack and a Bendi forklift (the forks turned at a 90 degree angle – great for tight spaces in the warehouse). I communicated deficiencies in products to different production departments. I was over the Montage Orders. I did a final quality and accuracy check before shipment. Provided positive feedback with my co-workers for process defects communicating a team solution.

What they like about Life Touch:

Working for a company with an emphasis on social values and helping society is a clear and important priority for you - a critical factor in who you choose to work for. In contrast to other factors, you place an organization's reputation for fairness and concern for the community above most other aspects of the company. As you search for a new job opportunity, it is usually possible to find out if the company is involved in the community and/or if it is addressing problems and issues in society. Pay special attention to non-profit organizations and those specifically involved in social action. Moreover, speaking with current and former employees should enlighten you to perceptions of the fairness of the company's leaders and the treatment of employees.
