Daily Duties at Aim/Invesco/Amvescap:
Responsible for the development and distribution of the AIM/ INVESCO Offshore funds for Institutional and Retail Clients. Set up INVESCO companies in Latin America as needed to draw full advantage of opportunities for business in the region. Serve on the Board of said companies. List INVESCO GT, INVESCO and AIM offshore funds in those Latin American countries where public offering of offshore funds is permitted. Set up distribution agreements at region or country level with banks, brokers, and other financial networks to ensure the (1) widest and (2) most profitable offshore fund distribution possible in those countries. Develop and maintain strong relationships with the Central Banks and other major government institutions of Latin America with a view to obtaining RFPs for the management of reserves. Develop and maintain strong relationships with AMVESCAP’s global distributors and major clients in the region: Merrill Lynch, Prudential, Citibank, Central Banks, etc., providing them with top-quality service. Develop and maintain strong relationships with local Corporate Clients. Be alert to the business opportunities proffered by the changing economic and regulatory scenarios in the different countries of Latin America, and develop activities/products specifically tailored to these opportunities. Ensure compliance with local legislation and regulations in each country, and with Company norms and procedures, to include timely and accurate reporting. Hold the Company harmless from legal or financial liabilities, and from situations that would compromise its good name. Interface with other Company business units and departments to maximize the benefit of local presence
