Daily Duties at Cfa Institute Latin America:
Establish Latin American Office and Operational Strategy Work with legal, human resources, information technology and other areas within CFA Institute, as well as government and tax authorities to register and establish Latin American office located in Buenos Aires. Carry out a thorough due diligence concerning all aspects in establishing the office and running a successful and profitable operation. Infuse CFA Institute culture and create an effective work environment. Adopt and refine best practices from other CFA Institute regional offices. Apply the principles of servant leadership. Work with all applicable units and local societies in producing an operational plan for the Latin American strategy. Establish a business and operational plan and carry it out for throughout all Latin American countries, from Mexico to the Argentina to include the Central America and Caribbean region, within budget. Work with CFA Institute media relations team in raising the profile of CFA Institute with media throughout Latin America. Secure interviews and take advantages of media opportunities in order to promote the CFA program. Facilitate in setting up journalist training programs throughout the region. Identify media opportunities that may be consistent and replicable. Work with CFA Institute employer relations team and local society leaders in developing a systematic employer relations effort. Engage employers in the practice analysis process. Identify the leading employers in various Latin American markets and promote the CFA Program to them. Maintain excellent relationships with CEOs of top employers within the Latam region. Establish relationships with securities regulators throughout the Latin American region. Establish a close relationship with COSRA (Council of Securities Regulators of the Americas), CEMLA (Latin American and Caribbean Central Bank Association) ,FIAB (Inter-American Stock Exchange Federation), World bank, CEPAL, and Corporacion Andina de Fomento. Serve in an advisory capacity to regulators as they establish regulations and certification frameworks throughout the region. Maintain excellent relationships with Central Banks’ Chairs, Securities and Exchanges Commissions Presidents, Finance Ministers, Banks and Pension Funds Superintendences, Stock Exchange Presidents, throughout the Latinamerican territory. Coordinate with travel and event management to hold Board of Governors meeting in Buenos Aires in January 2011. Coordinate with Education division to hold traveling conference in early 2012. Coordinate Global Investment Research Challenges in Buenos Aires, Santiago, Bogota and Lima. Assist, if needed, with GIRC in Mexico City and Sao Paulo. Help coordinate other events in all countries, as needed.
