Daily Duties at Cypress Semiconductor:

• Promoted from PE Manager of the same division. • Managed P&L for the Multichip (MCM) Product Line/responsible for all phases of the business—Revenue shipment, Roadmap, R&D, New Product Introduction, Engineering, Customer interface, Marketing, Quality, and all products from cradle to grave. Revenue: P&L responsibility—Department revenue/expense and PBT responsibility. o Improved Revenues from $10M/yr to $25M/yr, Improved PBT (Profit Before Tax) from loss to $8M/yr, Improved GM (Gross Margin) from 15% to 35%+, and Improved ASP from $25 to $50. Marketing: o Developed business strategies and roadmaps to grow TAM, SAM, and SOM for the Business unit. o Market Penetration into Strategic accounts: Nortel, Lucent, 3COM, Cisco, Network Appliance. Work with Cisco and Nortel to qualify networking products by satisfying their qualification requirements. o Initiated product change strategy from commodity SRAM modules to Networking modules, resulting in change of customer base from generic to major OEM customers. Engineering: o Managed several CFT teams to achieve successful launch of new products. o Managed qualification of new products from inception to complete. Follow a new product introduction flow to qualify the product. Use Microsoft Project to track and monitor project progress, define and generate project plan, including deliverables, and milestones. Highlight issues early to management and propose solutions. Focal point for driving New Product Introduction, Delivery, until End-of-Life. Manufacturing: o Selected and converted from US to Thailand new Contract Manufacturer for cost reduction.
