Daily Duties at Walmart Stores, Inc.:

Responsible for up to 16 separate business unit operations, with the shoe and jewelry divisions, supervising a staff of 130 associates attaining sales in excess of $26 Million. Lead markets in Kansas City, St. Louis, Kokomo, IN and central Missouri. Plan store visits 90 days out to ensure consistent follow up to previous visits and allow flexibility as priorities dictated. Responsible for the staffing, training, budgeting, P&L, and attainment of performance goals. Review security controls and perform jewelry audits on security merchandise and claims. Review understock and backroom organization. Review outdated merchandise for pricing action needed for sell through. Reviewed jounals and invoicing to ensure all sales and claim credits were received. Reviewed staffing and scheduling to ensure that it met the needs of the current season. Submitted weekly resumes to the home office on store tours. Call buyers to request additional quantities of hot selling items or categories, or the reduction of shipment in poor performing categories of merchandise. Conduct personell investigations and coaching sessions as needed. Conducted interviews and hiring processes to maintain staffing for regular and seasonal demands. Perform markdown and on hand audits for the shoe department to ensure pricing accuracy. Review and compare previous visit notes for execution of tour notes and develop new action plans with department managers and recap with the store manager on any issues found and plan of action.
