Daily Duties at Walmart Stores, Inc.:
Responsible for the merchandising and operations of $80 million dollar sales unit. Leading, directing, and mentoring merchandising teams in the execution of company directives, while supervising 260 associates and 8 slaried managers. Staffing and coaching associates for the successful attainment of performance goals. Analyzing performance metrics and P&L performance. Tour daily with assistant managers and department managers for execution and development of merhcandising plans, modular integrity, accurate inventory on-hand and shelf capacity inputs. Follow up to cleaning, production, and temprature logs in the fresh areas of grocery. Investigating harrasment cases, review FMLA claims, approve new hires, supervise coaching sessions, review and approve schedules, and review inventory reports. Meet with management staff daily to assign priorities for the day, review turnover documents from the overnight team and management shift change to ensure tasks were completed and a smooth transition was maintained from shift to shift. Review all inventory reports daily for accuracy of on-hands and merchandise orders. Respond to customer complaints and resolve before the end of each day.
