Daily Duties at Progenics Pharmaceuticals, Inc.:
- Responsible to set up all required Bio-assays and developed new strategies for the production, evaluation and screening of potential novel targets for ADC(antibody-drug-conjugate)-mediated therapy of cancer (gene-cancer specific database screening analysis, production of monoclonal antibodies, high-throughput small-scale solid-phase conjugation for early ADC discovery) - Lead a group of research assistants responsible for HTS, assay development, and mechanism of action studies for supporting all small molecule drug discovery programs (ADC, PI3K and HCV) - Developed in vitro cell culture system for the long-term replication of infectious Hepatitis C Virus particles (1a, 1b and 2a) to support the discovery of new antiviral drugs (VIP award in 2008) - Manage a group for the discovery of a small molecule inhibitor of hepatitis C virus entry - Direct hands-on laboratory work: molecular biology, cell culture, various virological and immunological-based techniques, qRT-PCR, ELISA, flow cytometry, experience with manipulating infectious material under BSL2 and BSL3 containment
