Daily Duties at The Kroger Company:
Responsible for Bakery assortment for 2,400 Bakeries throughout the US. Specific role includes product assortment, pricing, promotions and profitablility. Also responsible for Merchandising Standards and implementation of the corporte strategy. Responsible for company's direction and trends throughtout the industry. Category Reviews annually and I have 6 direct reports. I conduct each direct report's reveiws annually also. I do competition checks weekly. I also travel to the various Kroger Marketing Areas to present programs along with analyzing the markets. I attend trade shows to keep ahead of trends. I have leadership meetings each Monday to review the week, volume and budgets. I also work dirctly with internal Kroger Manufacturing in order to develop signature Private Label bakery programs. I also work with other retailers on the Retail Baker's Association in order to be connected and see what is "hot" and on trend. I have built strong business partnerships with key bakery manufacturers in order to co-pack signature recipes for Kroger Only. I have maxed bonus each year by exceeding budgets. I am up double digits in all my categories.
