Daily Duties at University Of Washington Medical Center:
Bench One: Responsibilities are to load daily surgical, oral path, renal, cytology, dermatopathology, hematopathology or reference lab specimens on the BOND III, unload, separate, check control slides, and deliver pallets of slides: followed by a second run of the same. Accession research and patient cases delivered. Make antibody dilutions for use on BOND III. Bench Two: Run antibody titers (new lot/source/retiter), perform tissue validations, run research cases, keep antibody list up to date. Bench Three: Run Fluorescent Insitu Hybridization on Her2neu, Synovial, Ewing’s Sarcoma, FUS, ALK, or MDM2 cases Bench Four: Cut frozen sections on skin or oral pathology cases, apply fluorescent antibody. Run serum cases using fluorescent antibodies.
