Daily Duties at U.S. Postal Service:

Technical Director Senior Advisor (1998-2000): Led development and acquisition of technical methods, procedures, and tools for Y2K project. Performed research to assess business risks, IT architecture, and use of embedded technology. Directed design / implementation of tracking functions for corporate Y2K earned value, risk, and issue management systems. Managed communications with technical policy organizations. Oversaw procurement of technology and outsourced services. Formulated training plan for Y2K and generic software development tools. • Increased scope of PMO from $40 million to more than $750 million by improving productivity for more than 5 years on 750 IT, mail operations, financial, and accounting projects. Program Manager (1996-1998): Established application inventory and baseline project schedules for national applications, software, hardware platforms, and COTS products. Analyzed technology and staff resources to produce Y2K training plan and standard software development tools. Conducted awareness briefings. Designed program plans / product schedules by researching business risks, IT architecture, and embedded technology / application systems.
