Daily Duties at Rittenhouse Financial Services:

DURING THIS PERIOD, MY RESPONSIBILITIES CONTINUED TO INCLUDE THE MANAGEMENT OF CLIENT ASSETS AND OVERALL CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT DUTIES WHICH INCLUDED ALL COMMUNICATION, PORTFOLIO REVIEWS AND INTERRACTION WITH THEIR ATTORNEYS AND ACCOUNTANTS. I CONTINUED TO HAVE A DUAL ROLE AS A RELATIONSHIP/PORTFOLIO MANAGER IN THE PRIVATE CLIENT GROUP WHICH INCLUDED HIGH NET WORTH INDIVIDUALS AND SOME INSTITUTIONS SUCH AS CHARITIES, RELIGIOUS GROUPS, ENDOWMENT FUNDS AND CORPORATE PENSION / PROFIT SHARING PLANS. DURING THIS PERIOD, ASSETS MANAGED BY ME AND MY ASSISTANT TEAM TOTALED OVER $800 MILLION AND GENERATED OVER $7.5 MILLION TO THE FIRM. ALSO, DURING THIS PERIOD RITTENHOUSE WAS APPROACHED BY OTHER BROKERAGE FIRMS SUCH AS PAINE WEBBER, SMITH BARNEY, DEAN WITTER, MORGAN STANLEY AND PRUDENTIAL FINANCIAL TO BECOME A MANAGER IN “WRAP FEE' PROGRAMS THEY HAD MODELED AFTER THE MERRILL LYNCH “CONSULTS” PROGRAM. AS OUR REPUTATION AND BUSINESS FROM THESE DISTRIBUTION CHANNELS GREW IT WAS CRITICAL THAT WE DEVELOP A SALES TEAM OF INDIVIDUALS BASED AROUND THE COUNTRY TO SERVICE ALL THESE FIRMS AND THEIR FINANCIAL ADVISORS. I TRAINED AND SUBSEQUENTLY TRAVELLED WITH THESE NEW INDIVIDUALS TO INTRODUCE THEM TO FINANCIAL ADVISORS AND BRANCH OFFICES IN THEIR ASSIGNED GEOGRAPHIC AREAS. IN CONJUNCTION WITH MY PARTNERS WE DEVELOPED THE ROLE OF SIX REGIONAL VICE PRESIDENTS TO MANAGE THE SALES FORCE WE HAD PUT IN PLACE. IN 1991 OUR FIRM FOUNDED A TRUST COMPANY CALLED THE RITTENHOUSE TRUST COMPANY TO OFFER ADDITIONAL SERVICES TO OUR HIGH NET WORTH INDIVIDUAL CLIENTS. WE OFFERED TRUST SERVICES AS WELL AS LINES OF CREDIT SECURED BY MARKETABLE SECURITIES OR REAL ESTATE.

What they like about Rittenhouse Financial Services:

Working in an organization that is technologically advanced, creative, and innovative is critical in your assessment of hiring companies. Less important to you are stability of the organization, the length of time an organization has been in business, and the business' plans for the future. You prefer a fast-moving company that will take risks to achieve its goals and objectives. The length of time the company has been in business is irrelevant. Maintaining status quo is unnecessary. You thrive on change, uncertainty and the upside of potential business risks, especially those associated with innovation. Stability for the long haul is not nearly as important as is working in an atmosphere that is charged with a sense of urgency and constant change.
