MY PREVIOUS BOSS WHO HAD FOUNDED RITTENHOUSE FINANCIAL SERVICES IN 1985 SOUGHT ME OUT AND ASKED ME TO JOIN THE FIRM.I BEGAN MY TENURE AT RITTENHOUSE AS AN ASSISTANT VICE PRESIDENT. IN THAT ROLE I WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR DEVELOPING NEW RELATIONSHIPS IN THE PHILADELPHIA AREA THAT COULD REFER NEW BUSINESS TO THE FIRM. MY PRESENTATIONS WERE MADE TO ESTATE PLANNING ATTORNEYS, TAX ATTORNEYS, AND ACCOUNTANTS AS WELL AS FINANCIAL ADVISORS TO HIGH NET WORTH INDIVIDUALS. I INTRODUCED THESE POTENTIAL SOURCES OF BUSINESSS FOR RITTENHOUSE TO OUR INVESTMENT STRATEGY AND OUTLINED HOW WE WOULD MANAGE THE CLIENTS' ASSETS AND WORK IN TANDEM WITH THEIR LAWYERS, ACCOUNTANTS AND FINANCIAL ADVISORS TO ACHIEVE THEIR INVESTMENT GOALS. I INTERRACTED WITH OUR CLIENTS' TRUST OFFICERS AS WELL AS DIRECTLY WITH THE CLIENT.I ATTENDED ALL OF THE RITTENHOUSE INVESTMENT COMMITTEE MEETINGS AND WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE IIMPLEMENTATION OF ALL DECISIONS REGARDING CLIENT PORTFOLIOS INTO THE ACCOUNTS I MANAGED. DURING THIS PERIOD, I ALSO BECAME INVOLVED IN THE MANAGEMENT OF SOME INTSITUTIONAL ACCOUNTS AND INTERRACTED WITH THEIR INVESTMENT COMMITTEES IN THE INITIAL STRUCTURING OF THEIR RITTENHOUSE MANAGED PORTFOLIO AND SUBSEQUENT PERIODIC PORTFOLIO REVIEW MEETINGS. IN THE FIRST YEAR AT THE FIRM AND FROM THEN ON,I EXCEEDED MY TARGET IN GENERATION OF FEE INCOME FROM THE PORTFOLIOS AND CLIENT RELATIONSHIPS I HAD INTRODUCED TO THE FIRM.
