Was hired as VP Manufacturing to perform a turnaround for a 50 year old cabinet company that had gone bankrupt, but had been purchased and reopened by Viking Range Corporation. The company was losing money, mostly in the manufacturing operations. Direct management responsibility for 158 associates working in production, engineering, maintenance,purchasing, and transportation depts. Managed labor and variable expense budget of $10.2MM. Trained and coached workforce in areas of lean manufacturing, kaizen, 5S, safety, and supervisory skills. Planning for production flow based on customer requirements. Empowering and coaching associates to higher levels of productivity and morale.
