Daily Duties at Hewlett Packard:
Developed 180 day project plans according to different site characteristics such as: amount of users, technology being employed, type of equipment conversion and availability of funding ($0.00 - $100,000.00). Understood stakeholders communication/information needs in terms the types of reports (e-mail, conference calls, etc.) vs. frequency (daily, weekly, bi-weekly or as needed) and tailored them to deliver required updated to ensure informed decisions by providing adequate information. Coordinated meetings between customer, providers (telephone equipment, infrastructure and connectivity) and engineer division to ensure that everyone understands and complies with specific stage requirements to minimize delays. For example, separating an old ip platform known as spectralink from the PBX conversion of one site allowed the customer to provide a new support platform to the customer while testing a new ip platform that eventually will replace spectralink. If the spectralink platform remained with the PBX conversion, it will cause an additional 45 day delay. Reviewed milestones during project to ensure contractual delivery between providers and customer. For example, ensure that the engineers develop a Voice High Level Design (vHLD) during its 30 day period by ensuring that the customer provides a Business Functionality Review (BFR) within a 15 day period.
What they like about Hewlett Packard:
The social vibrance of a hiring firm is very important to you. Your ability to make and maintain friendships there is a critical part of your decision. You would likely be dissatisfied with a workplace that is quiet, cold, or otherwise not particularly social. When you investigate a new hiring company, ask recruiters, managers, and potential co-workers about the social life and opportunities there. This is especially important when you are relocating; moving dramatically alters your social sphere both inside and outside the workplace.
