Daily Duties at Los Alamos Natational Laboratory:
Perform all procurement activities for the procurement of supplies, services, and equipment including the development of acquisition and source selection plans for contract requirements for complex contracts and multi-million dollar contracts. Perform pre-award and post-award functions involving specialized procurements of significant importance. Manage acquisition processes for complex or state-of-the-art systems, programs, and/or equipment that are not well defined. Negotiate contracts with corporate officials of major corporations and Universities. Serve as lead negotiator to develop contract prices and terms, award contract, administer, and terminate. Occasionally interact with DOE Area Offices and/or General Accounting Office on specific claims or protests. Supervise a staff of 15 procurement/contracting specialist.
