Daily Duties at Hovensa:

 Collaborated with managers to discuss unit priorities three times a day.  Provided coaching as necessary to subordinates.  Reviewed permits for accuracy and supported operators with unit rounds.  Administered new piping lineups and payroll; executed orders in the SAP system to ensure repair; wrote shift reports; and handled shift turnover.  Monitored the performance of subordinates and coordinated with group members to discuss safety, environmental, equipment, night letter, personal issues, housekeeping, equipment’s functionality, and operator attentiveness to duty.  Managed the enforcement of organization’s and environmental policies and procedure adaptation; resolved unsafe condition and environmental concerns.  Administered 2 shift supervisors in the Power and Utilities Department including 12 operators.  Held responsibility in minimizing fuel cost and environmental overages as well as in monitoring proper utilization and enforcement of policies and procedures.  Conducted incident reporting, statement compilation, and daily shift report writing; as well as proper investigation.  Attended daily meetings with asset team and economics/planning members to prioritize equipment repairs strategy and budget optimization.  Administered piping lineup changes and maintaining tank levels.
