Daily Duties at Quorum International, Ltd.:
• Directed the multi-currency financial accounting, management reporting, costing, budgeting, purchasing, inventory control, margins, pricing, taxation and legal functions of the North American operations of the company. • Directed the MIS (IT) function of the company. • Played a key role in assisting the owners, management, attorneys and accountants in helping the company emerge from Chapter-11. • Managed the c1earanceof the backlog of over 2,000 US and Canadian Sales Tax Returns. • Played a key role in obtaining a Cash Refund of CAN$ 1.3 million towards Canadian Customs Duty Drawback from Revenue Canada -Customs, which was long-delayed and doubtful of recovery. • Directed the purchasing, products & material control function' • Carried out review, analysis and management reporting of financial statements, cash flows. fund flows, ratios, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and trends for a more focused financial, treasury and working capital management. • Ensured legal compliance and drafted corporate and legal documents • Instructed lawyers for Chapter-II proceedings, money claims, law suits, legal documents etc.
