Daily Duties at Westchester Medical Center Advanced Imaging:

I review patients paperwork 12 patients per day and MRI safety forms to ensure safe and proper patient care, instruct patents on how to change into their patient gowns for the procedure , explain the procedure and position the patient in the proper imaging coil and place them in the MR unit. Select the proper imaging parameters based on the Radiologists protocol and perform the MRI examination(s). Continually interacting with the patient to ensure their comfort and the exam integrity. I perform the Daily Quality Assurance and enter the values in the Quality Assurance log book, work with the Radiology Information System to see my schedule and to start and end exams as well as to enter notes on the patient or to enter the type and amount of contrast used as well as any pertinent patient information, and utilize the PACS system to look up previous exams to ensure continuity of the studies and also to ensure the proper transfer of the current imaging exam so that prompt dictation can occur Manipulate and manage the schedule to maximize throughput between our 2 MRI rooms. Maintain inventory by keeping track of supplies on hand and notifying management when more supplies are needed.
