Comply with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions Control inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system. Maintain physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement. Maintain warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results Provide supervision and guidance to supply section personnel. Establish priorities and assigns work to ensure effective and efficient operations. Inspect completed work for accuracy and compliance with established procedures. Monitor subordinate performance and perform counseling of subordinates as necessary. Apply sound management principles in establishing priorities, allocating workload and managing supply operations Manage the site supply library, providing oversight and assisting as needed to assure completeness and currency. Possess working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines; an understanding of the needs of the organization serviced; and analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to collect the necessary data, to establish the facts, and to take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines.
