Daily Duties at Asecna The Agency For Aerial Navigation Safety In Africa And Madagascar :

Managed all aspects of project oversight and management; personnel and team management, development, and training; cultivation of corporate policies and procedures, including technologies; business development, RFP responses/interviews, and client relationship growth. Managed comprehensive construction projects worth up to $ 5 million, teams of 3-6 project managers/superintendents/project engineers/accounts, and 10-30 subcontractors. Oversaw all pre-construction activities, project development, and buyout, including insurance, permitting, procurement, estimating, and subcontractor agreements. Negotiated and wrote contract agreements, guaranteed maximum price (GMP) contracts, project scopes, and budget proposals with owners, architects and engineers. Solicited all parties' input prior to construction to proactively identify areas of concern and adjust project plan before additional costs are incurred; process ensures highest design and cost control for the project. Directed material purchasing, pricing, and production of subcontractor requisition approvals, RFIs, CORs, SCOs, OCOs, closeout manuals, and as-built drawings. Analyzed construction projects' finances/budget and operations results, design changes, pay applications, and cost control to save time and budget resources without sacrificing quality and building standards; actively problem solve and troubleshoot projects. Maintained regular budget analysis reports to track spending and contingency reserves. Managed all aspects of LEED ® process on projects, including education of subcontractor base, preparation of waste and air quality plans, and submittal preparation and execution. Provided regular communication and updates on project construction, submittal, and delivery schedules to all involved organizations/individuals. Monitored projects and workers for compliance with safety standards and procedures and ensured a successful closeout.
