Daily Duties at St Jude Children's Research Hospital:
Primarily the daily administration of chemotherapy, blood products and other IV med necessary for optimal care. Daily assessment of each child's pain tolerance, nutritional needs, emotional and psychological needs,and reactions to all care. Communication with multi-disciplinary care staff any changes in medical condition, or coping skills. Clinic care including the same assessment and flow of rooms for physician exams and treatments. Sedation/Recovery in the Procedure Area, DI and for daily RT treatments. Care of permanent central lines, venous access, and blood draws for lab work.
