Daily Duties at Anthem Blue Cross And Blue Shield :
Received inbound calls from physicians' offices and/or Hospitals requesting pre-authorization for a radiological procedure. Patient had to meet certain criteria for me to give the authorization. If I could not do it then I would have to send the case on up to the physician on staff at Anthem where he would look at all the case notes and ask for more information to be faxed from the physicians' office in order to make an informed decision.
