Daily Duties at The Ford Foundation:

• Configured, installed and administered the network infrastructure that supported a staff of 800 user personnel worldwide • Managed the deployment of 500 desktops utilizing Microsoft’s Sysprep tool in preparation of Windows OS cloning • Installed and configured HP Proliant servers with RAID1 & 5 arrays in addition to facilitating backup and restoration using Symantec Veritas Netbackup 6.5 for NY office • Installed, configured and maintained all HP Proliant servers/desktops and backup environment utilizing Symantec Backup Exec. Version 11D for all 12 overseas locations • Responsible for configuring and monitoring printers utilizing HP JetAdmin in addition to upgrading printer firmware and handling installation of other peripherals • Migrated from Windows NT to Windows 2003 Active Directory/Exchange 2003 environment • Performed key role in the reduction of physical servers by implementing VMware ESX 3.5 and virtualizing 60 servers using 4 ESX host servers • Integrated time and attendance system, utilizing biometric hand scanner • Negotiated contract renewals with various vendors • Communicated with department heads and international offices on a daily basis
