Daily Duties at Indonesian Oil Palm Research Institute (Iopri):

- Senior researcher, diversification of oleochemical (non-food) products project leader, implementing, scheduling and conducting some research projects, a coordinator of many IOPRI engineers/scientists from various backgrounds, Data gathering/verification afor palm Oil Mill Standadrization and oleochemical industries. Transfer of technology, and others. My research projects was focused on research and development on diversification of palm fatty acid into (oleochemical) nonfood products such as trans esterification, emulsifier, antimicrobial and other new chemical compounds by chemical and enzymatic processes. I was also directly responsible for getting research funding and organize research proposal from individual. As part of my job, I was constantly searching for ways to increase the oil yield of Palm Oil Mill's Indonesia. Most of my work involves goal oriented projects that aim to create new products from palm oil and fatty acids through chemical and biochemical processes and also to improve the oil yields and to make standardization for Indonesian palm oil mills with tangible results such as material and mass balance, oil losses and regulate waste water parameters. This involves working with general secretary for estate and crops and World Bank.
