Daily Duties at Franchise Food Service:
Led a team of 3 Managers, 3 Supervisors, 4 Warehouse leads, 35 Warehouse Associates, 38 Drivers, 4 Dispatchers, 6 Customer Service Representatives, with accountability for managing the distribution center. Provided directions, training and development to all personnel to achieve a better, more streamlined, efficient operation. Provided support to all Franchisee Owners, Managers, to ensure they received their product in the most efficient way possible. Utilized logistic skills to meet customer demands while maintaining a cost effective operation. Promoted and implemented safety programs including DOT and OSHA and audit compliance. Implemented better employee relations to minimize turnover. Created a team environment, which ensured a better working relationship with both internal and external customers. In-depth knowledge of the transportation industry, food service industry, employees with accountability for all drivers, customer service, sales, facility management, scheduling and logistics. Implemented strategies to ensure the most cost effective method was in place to service our customers. Recruited, hired, trained, motivated, developed and evaluated all drivers, warehouse associates, managers, customer service representatives, along with support personnel. Maintained costs in all areas to keep P& L controllable. Handled accounts payable, allocated resources, and maintained monthly budgets.
