Daily Duties at The Boeing Company:

Strategic Sourcing and Small Business Inclusion Specialist (SBIR/STTR) • Relationship Management: Provide thought leadership and guidance to business units in the areas of strategic sourcing, procurement services and supplier management in assigned sourcing areas/categories. Develop and drive cross-functional governance mode l(s) to conduct stakeholder review and approval of strategic sourcing events. Report out to business units on activity, trends, areas of opportunity, and compliance to relevant policies • Strategic Sourcing and Operational Assessments: Lead strategic sourcing efforts in support of business unit operations in assigned areas such as composites, Cyber Security, Materials, Network Systems, Network Platform System, Energy System, Metal, and Lead strategic sourcing efforts to identify proactive sourcing opportunities to reduce costs and increase services or manage risk • Supplier Management: Act as the enterprise-wide supplier relationship. Develop and train business stakeholders on roles and responsibilities in supplier relationship management. Develop and manage a holistic supplier governance program with the support of business unit stakeholders. Monitor supplier scorecards and drive resolution of performance issues with key suppliers. Ensure timely reporting of supplier Key Performance Indicators (“KPI’s”) in summary form to business unit leadership. Partner with key suppliers to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities. • Relationship Management: Provide thought leadership and guidance to business units in the areas of strategic sourcing, procurement services and supplier management in assigned sourcing areas/categories .Develop and drive cross-functional governance mode l(s) to conduct stakeholder review and approval of strategic sourcing events . Report out to business units on activity, trends, areas of opportunity, and compliance to relevant policies. • SBIR/STTR Management: Provide technical assistance to small technology focused enterprises interested in SBIR/STTR proposal development. Assess client SBIR/STTR eligibility and identify R &D funding opportunities. Coordinate advanced assistance via external contractors to achieve a full range of competencies in SBIR/STTR, licensing, business development, and other matters relating to technology transfer.
