•Facilitated the development of diagnostic kit for diagnosis of Sepsis in whole blood samples by use of 16S gene-based PCR, real time PCR, and next generation sequencing analysis •Identification and evaluation of Sample Prep Technologies to enable earlier detection, identification and characterization of pathogenic microorganisms under BSL-2 working environment •Personally drove the evaluation and characterization of a novel technology that proved challenging technical milestones could be met. Goals were met on-time. Worked productively with a cross-function team to integrate the technology into a workflow that demonstrated a complete sample to result solution was feasible. The improved technology resulted in a patent application •Served as the only resource for cloning and developing and optimizing purification process for recombinant Factor VIII protein using precipitation, affinity, ion-exchange, and gel filtration chromatography, delivered highly purified recombinant FVIII protein for pre-clinical study •Developed analytical assays like ELISA , SDS-PAGE, protein quantification (BCA), Western Blots, that supported protein purification process •Prepared batch records and reports that met GLP requirement Generated null alleles of p120 by P element insertion utilizing PCR technique. The null allele was confirmed by RT-PCR •Studied genetic analysis of 41c and the 2R heterochromatin of Drosophila melanogaster, correlated the genetic and physical map using PCR technique and DNA sequence analysis. About 10,000 PCR reactions were performed for this project. The study resulted in a peer reviewed publication •Performed RT-PCR and quantitative RT-PCR to analyze transcripts from ten different Nipped-A alleles •Performed gene knockout study using RNA interference technique (RNAi) •Identified components of GH signal transduction pathways that modulated the expression of IGF-1 gene using RNase protection assay •Performed DNA cloning and expression and purification of recombinant protein from Ecoli f to support antibody production.
