Utilized physicians’ orders and professional skills. Developed and implemented a hospice plan that meets each patient’s specific needs and is in compliance with accreditation agency, federal and state regulations, reimbursement guidelines as well as Deaconess Hospice’s policies and procedures. Participated in peer review, quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives, to assure quality nursing care, and ongoing measures to promote excellence in patient care and patient/caregiver satisfaction. Responsible for the planning, coordinating, providing and documenting care for terminally ill patients.
