Daily Duties at Ccm Investment Advisors:

MY ROLE AND PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY AT CCM WAS MARKETING/NEW BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT FOR THE FIRM AND ESTABLISHING NEW RELATIONSHIPS WITH “WIREHOUSE ' FIRMS SUCH AS MERRILL LYNCH, WELLS FARGO ADVISORS, UBS PAINE WEBBER , MORGAN STANLEY SMITH BARNEY AS WELL AS REGIONAL BROKERAGE FIRMS LOCATED IN THE SOUTHEAST. THE GOAL BEING TO GAIN ACCESS AND BECOME AN AVAILABLE CHOICE TO FINANCIAL ADVISORS AND THEIR CLIENTSIN THE “LARGE-CAP VALUE” CATEGORY AS A PREFERRED MANAGER. IN ORDER FOR THIS TO OCCUR CCM HAD TO BE INVITED TO BECOME A RECOMMENDED PARTICIPATING INVESTMENT MANAGER ON THE FIRMS' SEPARATELY MANAGED ACCOUNT PLATFORM UTILIZED BY FINANCIAL ADVISORS FOR THEIR CLIENTS. AN UNDERSTANDING OF THE FIRM'S INVESTMENT PHILOSOPHY AND IMPLEMENTATION INTO CLIENT PORTFOLIOS WAS AN ONGOING RESPONSIBILITY AND KEEPING UP-TO-DATE ON THE STOCKS HELD, THEIR BUSINESSES, AND THEIR PERFORMANCE WAS A VITAL PART OF ANY CLIENT PORTFOLIO REVIEW MEETING I CONDUCTED. THE CCM QUARTERLY MARKET COMMENTARY AS WELL AS THE FIRM'S MACRO-ECONOMIC VIEWPOINT WAS INFORMATION I REGULARLY DISCUSSED WITH PROSPECTS AND CLIENTS. THEREFORE, MY ROLE ALSO WAS ONE OF CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP MANAGER.
