Daily Duties at Penn Foundation Act Team:
Provided mental health therapy to clients with severe and chronic mental health diagnoses (Schizophrenia, Bi-Polar Disorder, Depression, Schizoaffective Disorder) as part of a multidimensional team of professionals including Nurses and Psychiatrists. Interacted with physical and psychiatric medications on a daily basis when working with clients including (Seroquel, Seroquel XR and Pristiq) thereby gaining firsthand experience of how these medications work, are tolerated by clients and the common barriers to treatment and adherence. Utilized a myriad of psychological techniques to increase medication compliance, decrease undesired behaviors, enhance motivation and increase desired behaviors. Proven ability to build trust and rapport in order to create lasting, professional relationships leading to statistically and clinically significant changes in behavior.
