Daily Duties at Irvington Public Schools:

 Prepare an inviting and developmentally appropriate classroom and learning environment  Formulate and implement lessons in accordance with the curriculum and standards established by the Board of Education in Irvington and the State of New Jersey  Provide engaging educational instruction in the subjects of Mathematics, Language Arts, Reading, Writing, Social Studies and Science  Appropriately use computers and other resources such as SMART Board technologies to supplement and reinforce various concepts within the learning opportunities  Maintain accurate and complete records of students’ progress and development as required by all state laws, district policies and school regulations  Administer standardized achievement test and assessments  Communicate with parents, counselors and administrators to determine students strengths, identify areas of need, and to address any behavioral and academic challenges
