Daily Duties at Profood Usa, Inc.:

Daily duties included building my own business, creating new client relationships, and working hard to keep existing clients in a highly-competitive market environment. Daily challenges of fuel pricing, commodity price fluctuations, Hired by the owner to create and develop profitable niche markets in pet food, fish food, bird food, poultry, dairy and beef cattle feed sales. Primarily traded commodities in Pacific NW territories, but created markets in Canada, California, Midwestern USA, Texas, New Mexico, and Utah. Increased gross sales from $100k in 2000 to $3.5 million in 2005. PROFOOD allowed me the freedom and flexibility to develop profitable specialty feed and agricultural co-product programs in Midwestern USA and Western USA. These programs helped differentiate PROFOOD from our competition and further increase sales for the company. I left on the best of terms after PROFOOD sold the company to Wilbur-Ellis, Co. PROFOOD (Wilbur-Ellis) was one of my best customers.

What they like about Profood Usa, Inc.:

You give high priority to hiring firms with prestige. Market reputation and prestige of a firm may be determined through on-line research, and conversations with individuals working in your target industry. Note that firms "in the public eye" receive a great deal more critical publicity and attention than those operating with more anonymity. So as you assess your employment opportunities, be sure to seek out the positive aspects of the firm's reputation in addition to noting negative publicity the company may have received.
